We hope that you don't fall into the trap of excusing your own actions because of what others do or fail to do. It is a real trap for all of us who have not matured enuf to stand on our own feet and run on our own standards. It is the basic lack of character that leads us down the path. Small thinking. I think that character in this context, means those qualities which we have developed which guide us when we are outside the influence of our parents, in the influence of those who don't have the same ideals that we have, out of a Church atmosphere, in situations where everyone else is doing something we know is wrong and there is pressure on us to go along, or where only we will ever know whether we have been small or big.
